How it works it out
- A month is 52 weeks ÷ 12, about 4.33 weeks.
- Sessions a week are sessions a day × days open. Private hires take sessions first; the remaining sessions fill at your average occupancy.
- Card processing uses your entered percentage and fixed amount, with one payment per seat or private hire. The default assumptions are 1.5% + €0.25 in euro and 1.5% + 20p in pounds. Your provider and card mix can differ. When your guests pay Olladay’s fee, Stripe charges on the price they pay, fee included.
- Olladay’s fee is 2.5% of each booking, VAT included, worked out on each seat and each private hire. On ordinary bookings, when your guests pay it, it’s added to the price they see. The chosen share of new customers’ first directory sales instead carries a 15% fee paid by your sauna, replacing 2.5%; those guests pay your plain price. This estimate applies that mix equally to seats and private hires, rounds each sale’s fee to the cent, and treats later visits as ordinary bookings. When your sauna pays it, it comes off your takings. There’s no monthly charge, and heating that follows bookings, flash fill and add-ons are included.
- Firewood is your cost per session, for every session on the timetable. Electricity is heater power × pre-heat hours each day you open, plus heater power × heater time for every session, at your price per kWh.
- The heater runs for every session on the timetable, booked or not. That is what “heating that follows bookings” estimates saving.
- Text costs are deducted once each month. Flash fill goes to existing customers and uses ordinary fees; add-ons follow the booking’s acquisition mix and have no extra fixed processing fee.
- Not counted: rent, staff, insurance, tax, water, cleaning, towels and the cost of add-ons. This is an estimate of Olladay costs, not a claim that it is always the cheapest provider.
